Daily Duas – Simple Supplications for Everyday Life

Supplicating God through Dua allows us to seek divine guidance and blessings together with His mercy in our everyday experiences. According to the teaching of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) we should perform dua for all our movements from minor to significant because it helps maintain our bond with Allah.

Here are some simple and easy daily duas, including Arabic text, transliteration, and translation.

1. Dua for Waking Up

Arabic:

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَآ أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلنُّشُورُ

Transliteration:
Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi ahyana ba‘da ma amatana wa ilayhin-nushur.

Translation:
“All praise is for Allah who has given us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.”

2. Dua Before Sleeping

Arabic:

بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

Transliteration:
Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya.

Translation:
“In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live.”

3. Dua Before Eating

Arabic:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَعَلَى بَرَكَةِ اللَّهِ

Transliteration:
Bismillah wa ‘ala barakatillah.

Translation:
“In the name of Allah and with His blessings.”

4. Dua After Eating

Arabic:

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

Transliteration:
Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi at‘amana wa saqana wa ja‘alana minal-muslimeen.

Translation:
“All praise is for Allah who fed us, gave us drink, and made us Muslims.”

5. Dua Before Entering the Bathroom

Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

Transliteration:
Allahumma inni a‘udhu bika minal-khubthi wal-khaba’ith.

Translation:
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from evil and impure beings.”

6. Dua After Leaving the Bathroom

Arabic:

غُفْرَانَكَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَذْهَبَ عَنِّي الْأَذَى وَعَافَانِي

Transliteration:
Ghufranak Alhamdulillah-hilla-zee Az-haba Ann-nil azza Wa ‘afani.

Translation:
“I seek Your forgiveness and pardon from You, All Praise be to Allah, who removed the difficulty from me and gave me ease (relief).”

7. Dua When Leaving the House

Arabic:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

Transliteration:
Bismillah, tawakkaltu ‘ala Allah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.

Translation:
“In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no power or strength except with Allah.”

8. Dua When Entering the House

Arabic:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا

Transliteration:
Bismillah walajna, wa bismillah kharajna, wa ‘ala Rabbina tawakalna.

Translation:
“In the name of Allah, we enter and in the name of Allah, we leave, and upon our Lord we place our trust.”

9. Dua for Parents

Arabic:

رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا

Transliteration:
Rabbi irhamhuma kama rabbayani sagheera.

Translation:
“My Lord, have mercy on them as they raised me when I was young.”

10. Dua for Seeking Forgiveness

Arabic:

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

Transliteration:
Astaghfirullah wa atubu ilayh.

Translation:
“I seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him.”

11. Dua for Strength and Patience

Arabic:

رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Transliteration:
Rabbana afrigh ‘alayna sabran wa thabbit aqdamana wansurna ‘ala al-qawmil-kafireen.

Translation:
“Our Lord, pour upon us patience, plant firmly our feet, and give us victory over the disbelievers.”

12. Dua for Relief from Worry and Stress

Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحُزْنِ

Transliteration:
Allahumma inni a‘udhu bika minal-hammi wal-huzn.

Translation:
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and sadness.”

13. Dua for Protection from Evil

Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

Transliteration:
Allahumma inni a‘udhu bika min sharri ma ‘amiltu wa min sharri ma lam a‘mal.

Translation:
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil I have done and the evil I have not done.”

14. Dua for Good in this Life and the Hereafter

Arabic:

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Transliteration:
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah wa fil-akhirati hasanah wa qina ‘adhaban-nar.

Translation:
“Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.”

15. Dua for Knowledge

Arabic:

رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا

Transliteration: 

Rabbi zidni ‘ilma

Translation: 

“My Lord, increase my knowledge.”

16. Dua for Mercy

Arabic: 

اللَّٰهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي

Transliteration: 

Allahummarhamni

Translation: 

“O Allah, have mercy on me.”

17. Dua for Entering the Mosque

Arabic Text:

اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

Transliteration:

Allahummaftah li abwaba rahmatika.

English Translation:

“O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.”

18. Dua for Leaving the Mosque

Arabic Text:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

Transliteration:

Allahumma inni as’aluka min fadlika.

English Translation:

“O Allah, I ask You for Your bounty.”

19. Dua for Good Health

Arabic Text:

اللَّهُمَّ اشْفِ مَرْضَانَا وَمَرْضَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ

Transliteration:

Allahummashfi mardana wa mardal Muslimeen.

English Translation:

“O Allah, grant healing to our sick and to all the sick among the Muslims.”

20. Dua for Protection from Satan

Arabic:

 أَعُوذُ بِاللَّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

Transliteration: 

A’oodhu billahi minash-shaytanir-rajeem

Translation:

 “I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.”
